Rally Against Pain in DC 10/22/16

This blog was created to collect and provide information concerning the Rally Against Pain in Washington, D.C. on 10/22/16 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Dynamite speakers periodically throughout the day will answer questions and offer suggestions for chronic pain patients.  Meet and greet your fellow chronic pain sufferers and exchange ideas and information with chronic pain patients across the United States.

Our goal is to change the current trend in discrimination against the chronic pain patients caused by the misconception that prescription opioids, when used as prescribed and in response to chronic pain, is contributing to the Nation’s “War on Heroin”.

There are two separate segments of society and on is getting no attention.  Chronic pain patients are being abandoned by their physicians, physicians are cutting or decreasing pain medication which formerly allowed a disabled or chronically ill patient to maintain quality of life, to the extent possible, and to help those who have already been abandoned to secure adequate medical care.  We also advocate better medical care and treatment to our U.S. Veterans who are now experiencing exceptionally low quality of care at certain VA facilities and to get them the help that they so desperately need for PTSD.

  1. I will make every effort to be there. My feet and legs are so swelled up right now I can barely walk. They have never been this bad. And I have no one to go with me. If I can find someone in the Fort Lauderdale area in better physical shape than I am perhaps we could go together and share expenses. I will check back on this post.

    1. Hello, RSD_LADY, We would love to have you join us. Do you have Facebook? If so, please join the closed group Veterans and Americans United for Equality in Medical Care. There are other Floridians there looking to ride share! Thank you. Lana Kirby – 317-441-2888 (feel free to call any time.)

    2. Please join Veterans and Americans United for Equality in Medical Care because I think there’s another Fort Lauderdale person driving. It’s a closed group, but just ask to be let in and we’ll get you in right away.

    3. Hello … I just wanted to check to see if it looks like you’ll be able to make it to the Rally. We’ll have tents set up for shade with refreshments and it will be a nice afternoon to hear from great speakers. There is a person in our group driving from Fort Lauderdale. May I send you an invitation to our group?
